❤️ HE LOVES YOU ❤️
Do you need a fresh revelation from God of His love toward you?
For some reason, this has always been a prayer that God seems eager to answer!!!! He has answered it before….and this morning, He just did it AGAIN!!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
I got up early (4:45 am 🤪 😴) to read my One Year Bible (Here is a HUGE KEY – GET IN HIS WORD – that is one way He speaks!!!)
Today I was reading the story of Jacob (who was renamed “Israel” by God) and his son Joseph. Jacob was at the end of his life here on earth. He was old and could barely see or sit up in bed! Jacob had gone through some really hard, painful years because his other sons sold Joseph into slavery and told their father that a wild animal ate him. So Jacob lived for many years believing his precious son was dead.
But God had a plan all along! It was a plan to “Restore the years the locust had eaten” (Joel 2:25)!
Joseph went from being a slave, to being thrown into prison, where he continued to serve God faithfully. After a few years he was brought out and given a position of great honor, and put in charge of all the land of Egypt to save the nation from dying of starvation during a 7 year famine!
During the famine, Jacob sent his sons to Egypt to buy food. This is where they encountered Joseph, their long lost brother! It was HIM they stood in front of to beg for food!
Long story short – Joseph told them who he was and that he forgave them! Joseph had them go back and get Jacob, his father, and they all moved to live closer to Joseph and Joseph took care of them by providing all the food and supplies they needed!
You can only imagine Jacob’s great JOY to be reunited with his son!!!!
I know I can!
I was separated from MY son, Tyler, for 16 years! I did not know where he was. I had lost custody of him in the midst of years of severe addiction and horrible life choices! At one point, even though I was praying for God to restore Tyler to my life, I really believed I might never see him again!
Fast forward to today’s One Year Bible reading and my prayer to God yesterday to give me a FRESH REVELATION of His love “just for ME!”
Joseph brought his two sons- Jacob’s grandsons – to see him right before he died! Genesis 48:10 says that Joseph brought his sons close to his father and his father embraced them and kissed them and …..
Verse 11 says…….
“Israel said to Joseph, I never expected to see your face again, and now God has allowed me to see your children too!”
As I read that verse, the Holy Spirit stopped me! He said, “read that again, slowly!”
❤️❤️❤️ “I never expected to see your face again, and now God has allowed me to see your children too!” ❤️❤️❤️
And THERE IT WAS!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
God said “Julie, I love YOU as much as I love ISRAEL! I not only restored him to his long lost son, but I gave him the joy of seeing his grandchildren from that son!!!! That’s what I did for you, Julie! I not only restored Tyler to your life, but you have a granddaughter- Charlotte- who you get to see and hold and love! The same love I have for ISRAEL – is the same love I have FOR YOU! It’s PERSONAL!”
And sitting in front of me as I read my One Year Bible is a beautiful wooden plaque that my incredibly thoughtful DIL ❤️💕 Laura Speck (whom I adore) had made for me just this past Christmas! It has pictures of me and Tyler and Charlotte and our family and on the plaque, she had inscribed- “And I will restore to you the years that the locust have eaten…” Joel 2:25 ❤️
